Sounds like last night was a little tough fro him, hard to get the nurses to give him the right meds and got a little behind on the pain meds in particular. I think they finally got it worked out and he is just trying to rest. They took out his "central line" IV and moved him to "step down" which is just the other side of the ICU. Not sure when to expect him to be out, but a general estimate should be by the end of the week.
His brother Brad has been with him all day to give him some company and will head back to Kearney tonight. He has been such a help to all of us and we can say how much we appreciate him. I got a chance to talk to my Dad for a moment and reminded him that keeping his head in it is the biggest thing and he assured me he would. He agreed that the night was tough but it seems like they got his meds back on track and hoping for a better night tonight.
On a lighter note, I'm done with my semester and I think my test went pretty well.
